No Object for D-Bus Interface

Got this error message, “no object for d-bus interface”, when trying to access a second hard disk / separate partition, after installing Linux Mint 14 Mate. Previoulsy the computer had Xubuntu 12.04.

Turns out that the cause of the error was in the computer’s BIOS settings. The BIOS settings imp[lied there was a Floppy Disk Drive, but in reality there isn’t. Fix the BIOS, and the the error goes away.
