Ingredients
- 1 lb – Ground Beef
- 2 medium – Onions, chopped
- 2 – Green Peppers, chopped
- 1 lb 12 oz – Crushed Tomatoes
- 8 oz – Tomato Sauce
- 4 tsp – Chili Powder
- 1 tsp – Salt
- 1/2 tsp – Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp – Cayenne Red Pepper (or Hot Paprika)
- 1/4 tsp – Cumin
- 15.5 oz – Red Kidney Beans, drained
- 8 oz – Grated Cheese: American, or Cheddar, or 4 Cheese Mexican blend
- Olive Oil
Preparation
- Cook and stir Ground Beef, Onions and Peppers, in a large skillet, over medium high heat until Beef is browned and onions are translucent
- Except for Kidney Beans, add remainging ingredients; mix well; heat to boiling
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. (Or cook uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
- Add Kidney Beans and continue to simmer for 10 or 15 minutes more.
- Serve with Grated Cheese
