Hamburger Stir-Fry


  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • Vegetables
    • 1 Onion, halved and thinly sliced
    • 1 Green Bell Pepper sliced
    • 2 Red Bell Peppers sliced
    • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • Sauce
    • 1 tbsp Sugar
    • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
    • 2 tsp Ground Mustard
    • 1/4 tsp Ground (Cayenne) Red Pepper
    • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce
    • 1/2 cup Dry Sherry
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil


  • In a small bowl combine all the Sauce ingredients, whisk until smooth; set aside.
  • In a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat, add some EVOO, when oil. begins to shimmer add Beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes, breaking Beef into crumbles; drain and seat aside.
  • Add some more EVOO, then add the Vegetables, cook until tender crisp about 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Give the Sauce a quick stir and add to the skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the Beef and heat through.
  • Serve with Rice or Pasta.
