Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
- 1/3 cup Plain Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cup Chopped Onions
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 2 thlsp Worcestershire Sauce, divided
- 2 cps Beef Broth
- 1 large Onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup Sliced Mushrooms
- 3 tblsp Cornstarch
- 3 tbsp Water
Preparation
- Combine Ground Beef, Bread Crumbs, Chopped Onion, Egg, Garlic Salt, Pepper and 1 tblsp Worcestershire Sauce in a bowl until evenly mixed. Shape into 4 3/4 inch thick patties
- Fry patties until browned, about 5 minutes per side
- Add Beef Broth, 1 tblsp Worcestershire Sauce, Onions and Mushrooms, bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes. Transfer patties to platter and keep warm.
- Bring Onion mixture to a boil. Mix Cornstarch and Water, stir into Onion mixture. Cook until sauce has thickened.
- Poor sauce over patties and serve
