Pan-fried Rainbow Trout


  • 1 lb Rainbow Trout Fillets
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  •  Egg
  • 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tsp Lemon Pepper seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Olive Oil


  • Mix Egg and Lemon Juice in a small bowl
  • Mix Flour, Lemon Pepper seasoning, and Garlicc Salt in a large bowl
  • Pat Fillets dry and arrange on a piece of wax paper
  • Brush skin side of Fillets with the Egg and Lemon mixture
  • Dust skin side of Fillets with the Flour and seasoning mixture
  • Flip Fillets over and repeat process of coating meat side with the Egg and Lelmon mixture,and then dust with the Flour and season in mixture. Sprinkle Fillets with Paprika
  • Add Olive Oil and Butter to a large hot skillet (325°F or medium high heat) and fry Fillets skin side down first for about 5 minutes, flip and repeat
