Pork Rub

Don’t have a suitable Pork Rub on hand (e.g. Szeged’s)? Well fear not. Here’s the MyHogan alternative!

Servings 12 servings          Yield 1 1/2 cups
  • 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar (or 1/2 cup if you prefer a more savory rub)
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
Preparation and Use
  • Mix all ingredients in a small dish (e.g. custard dish)
  • Using fingers, pinch small amounts of Pork Rub and sprinkle onto meat that has been coated with Olive Oil.
  • Using finger tips, rub seasonings to even coat meat.
