Italian Sausage Pasta & Broccoli

Ingredients
  • 4 to 6 Italian Sausage linsk (sweet, hot, or a mix)
  • 1/2 box Pasta (Rigatoni, Penne, Ziti Rigati, or Rotelle)
  • 2 Broccoli Crowns, cut up
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 can Chicken Broth
  • 4 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried Thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Garlic Salt
  • Grated Parmesan Romano Cheese

  • Place Broccoli Crowns in microwavable dish. Add water. Drizzle with EVOO. Season with Garlic Salt. Microwave 5 to 6 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat EVOO. When oil begins to shimmer add Onions and sauté  and stir occasionally until translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes. Season with Garlic Salt, minced Garlic, Thyme and Crushed Red Pepper. Stir. Add sliced Sausage and sauté a few more minutes. Add Broth and bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes, stir occasionally.
  • Add cooked Pasta and Broccoli. Simmer couple of minutes to heat through.
  • Serve with Grated Parmesan Romano Cheese.
